Marking Systems' MAXIM III is a low-cost and flexible
PryorMark Dot Peen Marking Systems unit. Designed and
built for marking a wide range of materials from paper and
plastics to hardened steels and alloys, MAXIM III provides
exceptional value to handle quick text changes and fast
marking cycles at low operating costs. MAXIM III can mark
small or large characters in five different font styles,
in either linear, arc, or angular formats. The MAXIM III
marking system is a completely electric, self-contained
unit well suited for the tough industrial environment, and
is extremely quiet for use in office or inspection areas.
Windows software is available if required.
MAXIM
III is a plug-and-play unit equipped with extensive
software features to handle most marking applications,
including real time/date, serialization, digital I/O,
RS-232, password protection, part counters, and logos.
MAXIM III conforms to current CE/EMC standards. It is
manufactured under ISO 9001 accreditation and utilizes the
proven low-stress Dot Peen technology that is the basis
for all PryorMark Systems.
Controller
Features:
The controller is
the heart of the Maxim III system and
contains a high resolution, high contrast,
liquid crystal display, all the electronics and
drivers to control the marking head, and the
embedded operating system. Marking data is
entered in to the system by a compact, PS/2
style keyboard.
Power 110VAC/60Hz is
the only requirement for the operation of this
self-contained system. The use of a surge
protector/filter is required.
Marking Head
Features:
The marking unit
consists of two main parts: the dual
columns/base and the marking head. The marking
head is a 2-axis, stepper motor driven assembly
with an attached solenoid which actuates the
carbide stylus. The marking area is 4"
x3" with two proximity switches defining
the linear x/y home position. The proximity
switches ensure that the mark is accurate and
repeatable.
The dual column and
base support the marking head assembly. The
clearance between the stylus and the work piece
can be varied by means of a manual screw
(Z-axis). This allow for quick adjustment when
marking variable part sizes.
User Friendly
Operation:
The operating system
is very easy to use. At all levels of the
operating system, a list of options will be
displayed. All options are selected by pressing
the appropriate function key on the provided
keyboard. If an error is encountered while
creating or editing a marking layout, the system
will display an error warning, explaining the
reason for the error, and then allowing for
corrections.
