Have
you made your mark, yet?
Clear, permanent identification is
now of critical importance in
meeting current product
traceability requirements.
Permanent low stress markings with
programmable character size and
depth, automatic serialization and
date coding can now be very easily
and very economically applied.
To begin, there are low-cost
bench-top solutions for job shops
and batch marking that are fully
programmable dot peen marking
machines. These are well
suited for tough industrial
environments for marking paper,
plastics, hardened steels and
alloys.
Portable
hand-held marking systems are
ideal for taking the marking
system to the part or work piece.
These devices can accurately mark
text, symbols and Data Matrix
codes on large parts not easily
marked at a fixed station.
Intelligent direct part marking
and part identification are
available from Dapra
Marking Systems for
bench-mount, portable, job-shop,
mass production and automated
applications that provide;
- Permanent
marks
- Are
economical
- Feature
low-stress marking
- Programmable
character size and depth
- Automatic
serialization and
- Date
coding

Maxim
III Economical Bench Mounted Dot Peen
Marking System
The Maxim
III dot peen electric marking
system requires no air and comes in
two configurations;
The Maxim
III LCD features an embedded PC
based system with user friendly
software. The Maxim
III USB is
used with a desktop PC or laptop.
Both meet a variety
of marking needs. Both
provide exceptional value to handle
quick text changes and fast marking
cycles at low operating costs. MAXIM
III
can mark small or large characters in
five different font styles, in either
linear, arc, or angular formats. The MAXIM
III marking system is a
completely electric, self-contained
unit that is well suited for tough
industrial environments, and is
extremely quiet for use in offices or
inspection areas.

| Take
the Marking System to the Part
The PortaDot
marking system is a portable, fully
programmable dot peen marking system
that is ideal when the part is too
large to mark on a bench.
The PortaDot
marking unit consists of a hand
held case with "pistol
grip", a non-skid locating pad
and a 2-axis, stepping motor driven
assembly with an attached electrical
solenoid which actuates the carbide
stylus. The marking area is 2" (X
axis) by 1"( Y axis) with two
proximity switches defining the linear
XY home position. Theses proximity
switches ensure that the mark is
accurate and repeatable.
It is the best solution for accurately
marking text, symbols, and Data Matrix
codes on large parts or components
that cannot be easily marked at a
fixed station.

The
High Precision MultiDot™
3000
Bench Mounted Graphics &
Identification Marking System...
With
either a 4" x 4" or a
6" x 6" Marking Window
The MultiDot™
3000 features an all
inclusive marking system with easy
to use software. No air or PC is
required. The system includes a
sealed membrane keyboard and High
Contrast LCD screen built into the
controller.
An optional external PC style
Keyboard is available with
MarkMaster software for use with a
PC instead of the embedded
controller to control the marking
system. The marking window is
3.94" (100 mm) by 3.94"
(100 mm) and can mark parts up to 63
HRC hardness.
Multidot™
3000 Marking Systems are
electrically controlled units that
utilize a tungsten carbide stylus to
cold-form dots (spherical recesses)
with a low-stress, accurate,
compressive force. Dot Peen is
a highly readable marking method
that can be used to permanently mark
parts with alphanumerics, logos,
symbols and Data Matrix codes on
most materials.
