Why use a CO2
Coolant Lubrication System?
A CO2 Coolant Lubrication System reduces machining time while providing a superior surface finish. Turning tool steels, Inconel, Invar, Super Alloys and Stainless Steel cutting times are reduced dramatically. Increase turning productivity with other exotic metal grades such as Hastalloy and Titanium as well as plastics and rubber parts. Studies have shown that the ChilAire™ system will extend tool life by up to 50% and allows faster feed rates by up to 40%, in most hard turning applications.

What
is a
CO2
Coolant Lubrication
System?
The ChilAire Lite CO2
coolant lubrication System is a patented hard turning cooling approach using
environmentally friendly carbon dioxide to eliminate flood coolant so the
finished product is clean and cool to the touch.

Laboratory Tested Productivity
Standardized tests performed by a nationally recognized laboratory have demonstrated the ChilAire outperforms conventional flooded coolant proceses in terms of both uniform tool wear and cutting force. Moreover, specialty tool coatings such as PCD used with the ChilAire sprays have been shown to last up to 10 times longer as compared to dry machining, with deeper cutting capability as well.
ChilAire Lite is beneficial for a variety of challenging machining operations and existing lubricants. It improves performance in operations which are normally run dry. Example machining processes include drilling, turning, milling, grinding and progressive stamping. It may be integrated directly into new or existing machining equipment and processes to provide cool, clean lubrication for the most challenging a machining applications.
