TURBINE SPINDLES WITH MOUNTING
OPTIONS
Air
Turbine Technology the air turbine
spindle supplier that obsoleted
electrical speeders for high speed
machining operations offers three
spindle machine tool mounting
options:
- Straight Shank (JS) for direct
to your mill or to combine with
an ER32 collet chuck for
infinite compatibility.
- Integrated Toolholder (IT)
mounting from CAT40, BT40, SK40,
HSK-63, HSK-A80 and many other
integated options.
- Toolchanger compatible
assembly (TMA) and mounting
block compatible with Haas,
Fadal and many other CNC/VMC
machines.
With
a minimum of moving parts, Air
Turbine direct drive spindles avoid
machine downtime and maintain power
and high speeds up to 90,000 rpm.
Air Turbine precision high speed
spindles are available from
Industry Depot or through your
Industry Depot sales
representative.

Straight
Shank Mounting (JS)
 The
most common direct mounting method is
the straight shank style. These
600 Series High Speed Spindles with
1/8" or 1/4" (3mm or 6mm)
collets feature constant governed high
speed and torque generated by Air
Turbine Tools patented motor to
accelerate your feed rate and improve
finish quality. With no gears or
vanes, the 602JS is a direct drive,
low vibration spindle for ER-8 Collets
is available in 40,000, 50,000, 65,000
and 90,000rpm models. Other models
include the 625JS for ER-11 collets
for either 30,000 and 40,000 rpm.
Higher power ratings are available
with the 650JS models that operate at
25,000, 30,000 or 40,000 rpm.
For
extra power for heavy duty operation,
there is the double turbine X series
that is available in either the 625X
or 650X series with nearly double the
power output of the single turbine
models.
Durable
operation is assured with few moving
parts and standard ceramic bearings.
TIR held concentricity 0.0004"
(0.001mm) gives superb accuracy with
reliable oil free governed high speed
operation.
Each
spindle has selectable twin airfeed
inlets on the side NTP or through the
shank.
And, standard equipment for all 600
Series precision spindles includes a
combo filter extractor, collet,
wrenches, hose, detachable side NPT
fitting, ER-8 or ER-11 collet system
and carrying case.

Integrated
Toolholder (IT) Models
Integrated Air Turbine spindles
feature a mounting configuration
that matches your machine tool for
precision and rigidity.
Variations include CAT40, CAT50,
BT30, BT40, DIN 40, HSK-A63,
HSK-A80. Configurations depend
on the collet size and power
selection.
All
feature the same extensive standard
equipment package described above
and the TIR is less than
0.0002" (0.00505mm).
All
are available in both Inch and
Metric sizes.

Toolchanger
Mounting Assembly (TMA)
 Air
Turbine spindles are also available
with wrap-around toolchanger mounting
assemblies which rotate to load into a
proprietary universal mounting block
that mounts onto your VMC or CNC
carousel.
Mounting
blocks compatible with Haas, Fadal and
other CNC machine tools are available
or a block can be provided for
drilling to suit your particular CNC
machine.
All are available in both Inch and
Metric sizes.
